About Art Barela
Art Barela is a life long Artist, Illustrator and Graphic Designer. His current professional market space is in Environmental Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Art Direction Project / Team Management & Business Development. Art has a 35+ year plus professional background in Facilities Design, Environmental Design, Architectural Branding, Signage and Wayfinding, Corporate Advertising and Marketing, E-Commerce Creative Services Team Management, Corporate and Small Business Development. Following a 20+ year career working in Facilities Design and Construction for one of the largest Healthcare providers in the nation, Art took a gamble and left construction in 2002 to pursue his college degree, a dream that he had left far behind so many years prior. Art worked hard to earn his degree in Graphic Design. Through the duration of his time in college, he was a multiple Honor Role Student, maintained a perfect Attendance Record and would go on to graduate with Valedictorian Honors. Following college, he took another calculated gamble and started his own business. In 2004 Art incorporated his first business and launched his second career in Graphic Design Management and Consulting Services.
Since 2004, Art has worked as an Art and Creative Director in a variety of Creative Service Platforms, including leadership roles in: Corporate E-Commerce; Geologic Illustration; Trade-show Graphics; Corporate Advertising and Marketing; and Environmental Graphic Design. He has considerable experience as a Marketing copywriter of SEO Content for Ecommerce B2B organizations, Marketing Articles, Press Releases, Blog Postings, and a wide variety of Product Descriptions for multiple cross industry markets. In his various management roles, Art has acquired extensive professional experience writing Administrative P&P, Cost Quotes & Proposals, RFP, RFI & Business Development documents. He's worked as an Independent Freelance Writer and correspondent for multiple local community newspaper publications, writing on topics of community interest regarding local politics and government, community events and activities, local area sports and breaking news.
In addition to his long professional career, Art is also a four time Southern California ADDY Award Winning Artist, Illustrator & Graphic Designer. He maintains many ongoing business relationships within the Greater Temecula Valley and with local area municipalities including the cities of Lake Elsinore and Wildomar, as well as Chambers of Commerce affiliations in the cities of Murrieta and Lake Elsinore.
Due to over saturation and unsustainable down turns in my current market, I'm now seeking opportunity once again in the Design and Construction space.
